All Along Digital Version The Right Side ‘Groundhog Day’ How did we end up in our own version of ‘Groundhog Day,’ repeating the same cycle with only a few new names in the mix? President Trump successfully won every court challenge, yet the only real outcome was increased illegal immigration. So, who is all this stalling benefiting—illegal aliens? What about the crimes committed? How many rapes and murders did they commit...could be somebody close to you, dipstick. Learn from your mistakes. Look back—this article was originally written nearly a decade ago. The Right Side By J Gary DiLaura 1-28-17 THIS PRESIDENT IS TRYING TO PROTECT YOU…DON’T BE STUPID! The LAWS the President is enforcing are Federal Immigration laws (Title 8 Sec1182f, 1187a, 12,2 et al.) not HIS immigration policies! Someone please tell Rep Keith Ellison, D Minn, Rep Lewis and other ignorant “lawmakers” to read the laws that they (Congress) passed years ago! Ellison is calling for people to overthrow the President’s orders! Be careful Ellison, the FBI has arrested MANY Congressmen over the years; you and that idiot Lewis don’t want to cross the line on what you tell people to do! Inciting to riot is a serious federal offense. A real AG is coming! Morons, I swear! People who are supposed to protect us, don’t, our elected officials! How many times in the last year have you heard, “Donald Trump can’t stop aliens from entering the US based upon religion …or based upon ethnic origin … or because of race, creed and color? It’s unconstitutional!?” How many times from MAINSTREAM MEDIA and how many times from lawmakers like that former “Speaker of the House” Nancy Pelosi? How dumb can she possibly be? Obstructionist, ribbon cutting Schumer, is no better; his tears are as phony as him. He has no idea what we are up against, nor does he care. Apparently, he doesn’t know the law, has no idea how dangerous our enemies are, never read the Koran and has no idea what the Hadith is, or he would have stood up to Obama years ago! Get this straight! First, non-US citizens (aliens) who want to gain entry INTO the US have NO RIGHT TO ENTER OR RE-ENTER!!! We the people (through our elected officials) allow only those in that WE want, period, end of story, simple. WE DON’T WANT PEOPLE HERE WHO WANT TO KILL US AND HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD TO THAT END! We elected President Donald Trump to protect us and “you” whether you like it or not!! Aliens, who want in, have no Constitutional rights whatsoever, none!!! If an alien had a visa or green card, left, and wants back in…then we the people have a right to know why he left, where he went, who he was with, access to his phone, computer, that’s what vetting means!?! That’s the law! Let’s go a step further…the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952 aka Public Law 414 US, Sec 212, Chapter 2, PROHIBITS the entry into the US of ANY aliens belonging to ANY organization, religion, group seeking the unlawful overthrow of the government of the US by force, violence or other unconstitutional methods! It gives the President the authority to deny admission to ANYONE the President believes is in violation of 414 by Proclamation, no Executive Order is necessary. Under this law, President Trump could have banned JUST Muslims, or JUST Catholics or Jews but, instead, he banned EVERYONE from seven very troubled countries that contain people who are a stated threat to our people but cannot be readily identified. A very smart move! Islamic immigration into the US has been banned by Public Law 414 because their book Cont. on pg 2

May 5, 2025 The Sun Bay Paper Page 2 Cont. from pg 1 of faith, the Koran, Sharia law and the Hadith all call for the overthrow of the government by complete obedience; submission to all the Surahs in the Koran. Those Surahs specifically state that ALL unbelievers are infidels and must be killed. Why do you think 19 Muslims crashed four planes, on 9-11-01, killing 3,000 American INFIDELS? Those elected officials who want to take a stand against President Trump instead of protecting us, better think twice. Any governor who defies President Trump on the alien “freeze” is defying and violating serious immigration laws and could find himself in custody because Jeff Sessions is NOT like that piece of crap, racist, Erick Holder or Obama’s puppet Loretta Lynch. Activist federal judges who make laws from the bench instead of interpreting law could find their positions defunded by Congress, which has been done before! Senator Jeff Sessions will be a real AG and enforce our Rule of Law! Anyone who “advocates” Sharia law, calls for demonstrations that lead to violence or rioting had better use their heads. Things are changing for the better. Our Rule of Law will AGAIN be enforced! Muslim Sharia law is against our Rule of Law, against the Constitution, and our Republic. However, for a Muslim, to not believe in Sharia law is a capital crime under Islamic Sharia law. Those Muslims are a Kafir, the worst of the infidels, that’s also you and me and all pagans, Jews, atheists… we are the worst of the unbelievers according to the Hadith and the Koran. The problem with you red wing, left, progressive, commie, pinkos is you have become so accustomed to Obama lawlessness, permissiveness and lying and you can’t get used to Truth, Justice and the American way! Stick around for a while, you will! J. Page 3 The Sun Bay Paper May 5, 2025 Canceling half of America Cancel culture lives! Since about last Thanksgiving, most of us have come across posts and articles reminding us that not everyone is thankful. And by gosh, for some folks, Trump supporters have paid a significant price. I been shocked by the volume of comments declaring Trump’s election victory as one of those rare events that warrants ending, or adjusting, relationships with family and friends. I shouldn’t have been surprised. In recent years, Trump supporters and voters have been singled out for “special attention.” For example: • “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants……?”- That was from AOC several years ago. “Yes” answered the “Trump Accountability Project.” They gathered information on Trump financial supporters, voters, employees, RNC members, appointees, etc. • “We need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission.” (think “Re-education Ministry,” as in “1984.”) – from Clinton Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich. • Thankfully, those reactions tailed off. However, after Trump’s recent victory, social media is again loading up with suggestions for punishing half the U.S. population. And those “experts on everything,” i.e. celebrities, are prominently stepping up like this: • Mark Hamil declared election day as “a day that will live in infamy,” comparing Trump’s victory to Pearl Harbor. • Sharon Stone pointed out that the U.S. “is in adolescence,” “uneducated,” “naïve.” • Joy Reid declared, “Our Thanksgiving, our choice……Make your own dinner, Maga.” If you are a puzzled and angry anti-Trump voter, don’t frustrate yourself over-analyzing Trump voters. Trump supporters don’t reside in a foggy netherworld. They haven’t been put under a mysterious spell. They don’t swoon in the presence of a cult leader. And they are aware of Trump’s many flaws. Trump supporters didn’t have to approve of style or personality traits in order to be thankful for policies and accomplishments. From the perspective of a few years ago, it’s difficult for conservatives to look past phony dossiers, smashed computer hard drives, and very real “lawfare.” And it’s frustrating how baked into politics is the tendency to see only the goodness of one’s own political leaders and just the evil horrors of your political opponents. Self-righteousness is a common human flaw. I’ll stipulate that President-elect Trump hasn’t ever offered a bouquet of fresh daisies as a friendly gesture to political opponents. Sometimes I get fed up with his hyperbole and ad hominem attacks. And assigning derogatory nicknames is silly and unhelpful. However, years of withering abuse coming at Trump and his supporters has been stifling as well. It was also hard to ignore. For example, NBC presidential historian Michael Beschloss described an imagined dystopian 2022 election result to Chris Hayes on MSNBC: “We’re on the edge of a brutal authoritarian system……a historian will say what was at stake tonight and this week……whether our children will be arrested and conceivably killed.” The following appeared in The Guardian, “[when civil war develops] judges will be assassinated, democrats and moderate republicans will be jailed……black churches and synagogues bombed, pedestrians picked off by snipers……” The most outrageous of all must be “The Handmaid’s Tale,” a dystopian depiction in a book, movie and cable TV series. It openly imagines what could happen if conservatives were in control of our government. Fertile women are subjected to child-bearing slavery, serving barren ruling class women. Handmaids are subjected to cruel discipline and hideous punishment such as stoning, removal of eyes, and genital mutilation. Those fictitious predictions contributed significantly to societal fear and irrational emotions. Many now fear those with whom they disagree and have been led to believe punishment is warranted. There’s so much imagined fear that , for some, “canceling” half of America is the best answer. We should all make it clear to friends and relatives that our relationships are not contingent upon how we vote. More important, we should never be afraid of having our ideas challenged, nor be afraid of challenging political and philosophical opponents. It requires listening and understanding……and sometimes arguing. Peace in America will come with more discussion, not less. You and I could be on someone’s “cancellation” list. Let’s make our message, “I hope you don’t! While I may disagree with you, it doesn’t mean I dislike you or have angry feelings. We have our own opinions. Let’s make every effort to demonstrate mutual respect.” Steve Bakke Visit my website at myslantonthings.com By a show of hands, let me see how many of you have a credit card in your name. Uh-huh, I see those hands. It appears that my audience falls right in line with national averages: About 70% of you have at least one credit card. And how would you categorize your relationship with your card issuer? If you are carrying credit card debt, it really bugs you that the company takes so much of your money in interest and fees. In fact, some cardholders admit to feeling helpless in the strong arms of the credit card giants who charge big, whopping fees on top of double-digit interest rates. It has been said that the borrower becomes a slave to the lender. Truer words could not be spoken of how it feels to be in credit card debt. So, are you ready to do something about this? Sure, I know you are doing your level best to get out of debt and keep a credit card as a tool -- not a noose. But even now, as you are working your way out of debt, there is something you can do to reduce your interest rates and fees and perhaps even have fees that were already charged waived. Just ask. That’s right; simply pick up the phone and ask. On the back of your credit card is a toll-free number for customer service. Call and courteously make your request. Provided you have been a good customer, you may be surprised to learn just how quickly the company will comply with your request. Why? Because there is a lot of competition out there. They know your mailbox is jammed with offers, and quite frankly, they do not want to lose a valuable, profit-generating customer like you to another company. It’s cheaper for card issuers to cut you a break than lose your business and have to find a new customer. There are several requests you should consider making: Lower my interest rate; waive my annual fee; raise (or lower) my credit limit to improve my credit score. Not long ago, I suggested this to a group of blog followers and asked them to share their experiences. Deborah reports: “My interest rate was lowered 2 percentage points, and I was given 2,500 free miles, which I would never have thought to ask for.” Michelle writes: “My husband recently charged to a card, and we went over the limit. I called Capital One, and they waived the $39 fee because we have never had an over-limit fee, and our payments are always on time.” Judy responded: “I called Capital One, with whom I have had a credit card for 10 years. I’ve paid an annual fee every year. I spoke with customer service and politely asked if the $95 annual fee could be waived. She passed me to an account specialist, and based on the longevity and ‘impeccable’ status of my account, he offered me a one-time fee waiver and said they would send me a letter confirming this in writing. I’m thrilled! That five-minute call put $95 back into my wallet.” Are you ready to exercise your savvy customer muscles? Well then, let the haggling begin! May 5, 2025 The Sun Bay Paper Page 4 MR. PRESIDENT…USE YOUR GOD GIVEN POWERS TO KEEP US SAFE MR. PRESIDENT…USE YOUR GOD GIVEN POWERS TO KEEP US SAFE AND ARREST BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA AND HIS SIDEKICK JOE OBIDEN…FOR TREASON … NOW… As a side comment about plenary powers of our presidents, past and present … “The provision gives presidents broad authority to ban individual immigrants or groups of immigrants. Presidents haven’t hesitated to use it. Barack Obama invoked it 19 times, Bill Clinton 12 times, George W. Bush 6 times and Ronald Reagan five times. George H.W. Bush invoked it once.” (Ann w Simmons and Alen Zarim, World & Nation 1-13-17) President Trump used it in his first term and banned Muslims from seven countries from admission to the US and deported too many to count! That one was also challenged and the Supreme Court ruled in the President’s favor. Virtually ALL the challenges to the Plenary Powers Proclamation of a President have been unanimously ruled in favor of the Presidents! So, what’s changed? Direct your AG to start charging these sleazebag democraps (small d) in Congress with Sedition and the Logan Act violations (negotiating with Foreign Governments without permission of the President) and order the FBI to look at their financials. The elected officials who have the biggest mouths and spew the most Bullshit, like AOC, Shitty, Swallow, the Penguin, Schumer… of/for interfering in the President’s ability to administer his duties as president. AOC slandering the president by accusing him of being a criminal, that means tried and convicted. Just like the garbage disposal … she is ignorant! If she wants to see a criminal, tell her to look into the mirror! President Trump has NEVER been convicted of a felony or any crime. Besides reading what a “garbage disposal” is, look at a document called the Constitution. In fact, the FBI should open a Hobbs Act case on her for misuse of government funds. That’s typical when a thief has/is in control of money, power; they use/enjoy “first class” everything… on our dime?! Opening our borders to everybody, without vetting, is against our laws! That is not plenary powers any more than robbing a bank is plenary powers. Allowing 25,000,000 unvetted, illegal aliens, which includes millions of terrorists, rapists, dangerous gangs, drug runners, human trafficking, child abuse to an unbelievable extent and more…is NOT Plenary Power…it’s Treason! Shutting down fossil fuel supplies, interfering in food supplies, baby food and other necessities is NOT for environmental reasons, it is criminal. It’s to take away citizens “Inalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” … thereby causing chaos, riots, insurrection and the ULTIMATE GOAL of Hussein Obama… Martial Law…then a Socialist, Islamic Nation, the “Fundamental change”, he promised! The criminal acts that Obama committed runs the gamut of Title 18. He began his political rise to fame by committing the biggest fraud in US history by becoming an American citizen (not born in the USA) and changing his “religion” from Islam to Christian. Ask ANY Muslim what would happen to a Muslim who flipped a switch and denounced Islam to become Christian! To do that, he created a way to counterfeit, change, otherwise commit wire and mail fraud by providing counterfeit documents… from birth certificates (several), all of which have been forensically determined by the best forensic scientists in the world, including the forensic team at the Vatican, as well as the US forensic police departments…TO BE PHONY… like him! He fraudulently obtained a social security card… his first of 3 SS cards… when he was 18 years old, while he was in Hawaii, through the mail, from the Social Security Office in Connecticut where his aunt, coincidentally, worked …out of the thousands of SS Offices in the US! Back then and even now, you must appear in person with an original birth certificate or certified copy. He did not have either! His selective service records were changed, his passport not available, his college records sealed, and he claimed to be a foreign exchange student…?! It seems he became a natural born US citizen when necessary and foreign when necessary…the same with his religion. Islam until 21, then Christian when necessary…but believes the Islam call to prayer is the most beautiful thing in the world…go figure?! Here’s his problem…every time he produced a phony document; he committed a felony… every … single… time. If we also bring in other individuals, primarily from his staff, we will have sufficient predicate crimes. Additionally, his co-conspirators—who are likely to cooperate—will provide enough evidence to build a RICO case, alongside charges of treason. Remember the Statute of Limitation for RICO doesn’t start until the very last crime which is probably “yesterday”! How flagrant he and his staff were/are! All of which is in furtherance of the substantive crime …that is to change, overthrow the Government he Swore to “Preserve, Protect and Defend”! Counterfeit government documents are addressed in multiple sections of Title 18 of the U.S. Code. Specifically, 18 U.S.C. §§ 471, 472, 473, 474, 474A, 478, 479, 489, 506, 513, 514, 1001, 1002, 1001, 1017, 1028, 2320, and 2197 cover various aspects of counterfeiting and forgery of government documents, securities, and other related items. Now let’s talk about treason and then RICO. I believe the government has probable cause to believe that Barack Hussien Obama and Joe Biden both committed treason and also violated the RICO Statutes. Obama used his office of the President to “fundamentally change America”, into a Socialist, Islamic nation, to the end to benefit himself and those members of his staff for monetary gains, as well as power to take over America. How did he enter the Presidency with a $250,000 net worth and exit, eight years later, with 30 million dollars? All on a $400,000 salary? He continued by directing his own staff to further benefit him and the organization by directing then President Biden, who willingly and of his own volition, benefited monetarily…I heard he gained unknown benefits to the tune of $87 million dollars!? RICO requires several elements. There were Agents in NY who were up on all the elements, as well as Rudy, and requirements to open a RICO case. I never worked on a RICO case as I was mostly violent crimes, but my informants gave me information that was pertinent to OC! Just being around the cases, I learned a lot. If, and when, the FBI gets off its ass and nails down the Treason cases and the Sedition cases …everything else will come together. Start with the Carter Page first wiretap. That’s the poison tree… completely illegal and signed by those who “knew or should have known”. There’s your lead…now go get them…! Include the judge or judges besides FBI personnel (head of Agencies) who signed

You already had an attorney stab you in the back and as long as anyone who worked for Hussien works for our new AG, she will be stabbed in the back…there are none who worked for Obama that are trustworthy…none!!! The leaks will be unbelievable! The AG will not have anybody to trust if she keeps any of the previous prosecutors, ESPECIALLY THE CIVIL RIGHTS department that are agenda oriented with Eric Holder’s BS agenda. There are millions of qualified, Republican only, attorneys who are available …give them ALL lie detector and drug, hair follicle tests! Holder should be charged with criminal negligence on those cases his Black Ops attorneys, who were censored by federal judges for tampering with evidence, harassing witnesses and the biggest…disobeying a direct court order from a Texas Judge. They continued to grant illegals (10,000) with immunity, AFTER the judge ordered them to stop. That judge took away their ability to appear, for the government, in 37 Districts. They should have been charged and fired and prosecuted. Holder did nothing… (because he ordered it) … my opinion... and you are allowing these so-called lawyers to continue to F---k things up, for the President! Fire the bastards … you owe them nothing. How many “Republican” attorneys came forward with the criminal activity they observed going on…like Jim Comey taking over the prosecutorial lead on Hillary’s case! He cannot do that…but he did! The FBI Director cannot give the public his prosecutorial opinion and “decline to prosecute”. Hey… Comey, we, the FBI, investigates…the US Attorney prosecutes! Comey, read your DOJ Manual and the FBI Manual on who makes press releases and who supplies the material for those releases. Different jobs! May 5, 2025 The Sun Bay Paper Page 6 I recently did a couple of media interviews. One was a podcast and the other was a radio show. The hosts of both media outlets asked me essentially the same thing: “What are the most common questions people ask about Social Security?” As long as it’s fresh in my mind, I thought I’d turn those questions (and the answers, of course) into a column. Many of the questions I’ve been getting recently have to do with the political side of Social Security -- all the stuff going on in Washington. But I’ve written more than a few columns about those issues recently. So today I’m sticking with the much simpler and less volatile program or practical side of Social Security. Here are some of those common practical questions. Q: When should I take my Social Security? A: This is by far the most common question I am asked. And I usually start out my answer this way: “Tell me when you are going to die, and I will tell you when to start your Social Security benefits.” Of course, because no one really knows the answer to that question, no one really knows the absolute best time to start their Social Security benefits. So, there is no magic or secret answer to that question. All you can do is gather all the facts, think through your personal situation and just make the best choice you can. I can tell you that most financial planners will suggest it is best to wait to file for Social Security until your full retirement age when you would get your full retirement benefit. But if you are trying to maximize the future survivor benefit that would be paid to your spouse after you die, then it might make sense to wait until age 70 when you (and your potential surviving spouse) would get about 130% of your full retirement rate. On the other hand, if you have other sources of retirement income, or if you don’t expect to live a very long life, then taking your benefits (at a reduced rate) at age 62 might make the most sense. Q: I’m 62. My husband is 67 and getting Social Security. Can I file for spousal benefits on his record now and save my own until I’m 70? A: No, you can’t do that. You always must file for your own benefits first. Only after you do that can you look at your husband’s record to see if you can get any additional spousal benefits. Q: I am 60 and not working. My husband recently died. Can I file for widow’s benefits now and save my own until I am 70? A: Yes, you can do that. A widow does not have the same restrictions as a spouse with a living husband (as explained in the prior Q and A). You can file for widow’s benefits now and then switch to 100% of your own at full retirement age or wait until 70 and get about 130%. Or, depending on the amount of money involved, you might be able to file for retirement benefits at age 62 (the earliest you can do that), and then at full retirement age, switch to 100% widow’s benefits. Q: If I die, what will my wife get? A: The answer depends on several factors. But assuming you die well after your full retirement age, and assuming your wife is over her full retirement age when you die, then as a general rule, she will get what you were getting at the time of death. Quick example: You are 85 and getting $1,800 per month. Your wife is 82 and getting $1,200 per month. When you die, she will keep getting her $1,200, and then she will get an additional $600 in widow’s benefits. Q: I’m already getting my Social Security, but I’m still working. Will my additional income and the taxes I’m paying increase my Social Security check? A: It depends. Your original benefit was based on your average monthly wage using your highest 35 years of inflation-adjusted earnings. If the earnings you have now are higher than the lowest inflation-adjusted year used in your original computation, the SSA will drop out that lower year, add in the new higher year, and adjust your benefit accordingly. But don’t expect a windfall. Your benefit might go up by maybe $10 to $30 per month if you had a year of good earnings. The actual increase you might get depends entirely on what your past earnings were. Q: When my father died, why did we have to return his last check? A: Several rules come into play here. First, Social Security benefits have never been prorated. Second, benefits are always paid one month behind. And third, the law says you must live an entire month to be due a Social Security check for that month. Here is a quick example. John dies on April 24. The Social Security check that comes in May (the payment for April) must be returned. That’s the downside to the lack of proration. But there are two upsides. One: Let’s say John started his benefits when he was 66 and that he turned 66 on June 22. He would get a check for the whole month of June even though he was 66 for only eight days of the month. Two: If John left a widow, she would get widow’s benefits for the whole month of April even though she was a widow for only six days of the month. Page 7 The Sun Bay Paper May 5, 2025 Potting Mix Q: A gardener friend moved and left me with several bags of ingredients for making potting soil. I have never made potting soil before. What proportions should I use? Do these ingredients go bad at some point? A: First, I want to make a slight distinction between potting soil and potting mix. When you use the word soil, it implies that one of the ingredients will be soil either from the garden or dug up from somewhere else. So, potting soil includes some dirt. Potting mix, on the other hand, doesn’t include any soil. It is a much lighter weight mix that is designed to allow for good water drainage and good air circulation in some kind of container. When you are trying to make better garden soil, you may add some of the ingredients that we would use in a potting mix, but other potting mix ingredients don’t work in the garden. The ingredients of a potting mix can be changed to match the type of plant you are trying to grow. For example, a cactus will get a different mix than a hibiscus. Most of the bagged soil mixes at the garden center are going to have peat moss as the main ingredient. It holds water very well and still allows some water to drain away, letting air into the mix. However, some people think that peat bogs are being destroyed and that peat moss should not be used in soil mixes. The often-recommended substitute for peat moss is coconut coir, also known as coconut peat. Like peat moss, it holds some water and allows the rest to drain. It is created from coconut husks that are left over from coconut oil and coconut water production. Coconuts are grown in many countries. Both palm oil trees and coconut palm trees are planted in areas that are destroying tropical jungles that are the habitat for orangutans. So, coconut coir may not be the best solution for potting mixes. Pine bark fines are small pieces of pine bark less than 1/2-inch in size. They can be bought in bags or, in some areas, in bulk. Small amounts of other kinds of bark or larger pieces can also be used. Pine bark fines are a good renewable ingredient that hold water, allow drainage and help lower the pH of the mix so it is good for citrus, blueberries and azaleas. The next most common ingredient is mature compost. You can make your own or buy it in bags. If you buy it, try to get several bags from different companies. You will find the quality varies considerably. A lot of the nutrients in the potting mix come from the compost. Perlite and vermiculite are varieties of volcanic material that hold water and open soils for good water drainage. Vermiculite looks like small mica fragments, and it stays in place when mixed in. Perlite looks like white sand, but it is so light that it often floats to the surface of the flowerpot and washes over the pot when watered heavily or during a rain. Fertilizers can be added according to the label directions. Slow-release fertilizer can last the whole summer for annuals. Like I said, different plants grow best in different soil mixes. Some like really good drainage; some like a low pH; some like a lot of organic matter; and some like lots of fertilizer. The proportions you use will depend on what kinds of plants you use. One common mix you will hear about is the 5-1-1 mix. Usually, when you see such a designation, you will think N-P-K (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). In this instance, it is 5 parts pine bark fines, 1 part perlite and 1 part peat moss. It is a very good mix for citrus trees and many other types of plants. One last word: All of the ingredients discussed here can be very dusty. They can cause lung problems if breathed in. Some of the ingredients can harbor fungi and fungi spores that can also cause lung problems. Wearing a mask when mixing or planting potting mixes is wise. Goggles for the eyes may also be a good idea. Wash your hands after mixing these ingredients, especially compost. Email questions to Jeff Rugg at info@greenerview.com.

May 5, 2025 The Sun Bay Paper Page 8 Years ago, I proposed this idea to power America from within… with POWER…our OWN power. Here’s how… Mandate all 50 states to construct at least one new power plant using solely American labor, ensuring no foreign nationals are involved unless their expertise becomes necessary. The states must use American materials…MADE IN AMERICA. That’s means American steel, American cement, American bricks, American wire…no Chinese drywall, strictly American. Get the idea? Everything American. If we don’t have the cement factories or steel mills…then build them… under the same premises … loans with interest to be paid back with interest but they may keep or sell to private industry, on their own, when completed, as long as we are paid back! Stay with me now… here’s how we finance it. The state will decide, with help from the current utilities and their scientists/engineers, along with our government scientists…who are honest and NOT “science for hire, choose your climate scientists” what types of fuel, to power their plant. So, if Virginia wants coal…it will be coal. If the Dakotas want natural gas, so be it. If Texas wants oil… it’s oil. If California wants “hot air” piped in from flatulent cows… great…go for it. Newsom…you are dumb enough…my opinion! If the state cannot come up with an idea…we’ll do it for them, but they will build and many will be nuclear powered, no matter what Kathy Hochul says, because the President will declare a national emergency, which we are currently IN Right NOW. This moron, Hussein, has closed so many fossil fuel plants WITHOUT USEFUL REPLACEMENTS. He has pushed YOUR power grid into a critical position, and it will not take much, to create a total collapse…intentionally. He eliminated most ALL coal plants and hundreds of other fossil fuel plants, WITHOUT ANY USEFUL REPLACEMENTS. Only a FREAKING MORON would do such a treasonous act for personal gain…don’t think so. Well name ONE, just ONE benefit we have gained from Obama’s treasonous acts…just ONE. Is power less expensive…how has the environment, climate, weather changed…have you seen a vast improvement…any improvement???!!! Understand…this traitor hasn’t shut down a “few” power plants…he has eliminated hundreds of fossil fuel plants! In 2008, when Hussein took office, the grid was at about 120% of capacity…we had about a 20% buffer. When he unleashed his reign of terror on our…your grid…he succeeded in killing some 35-45% plants resulting in about 85% of necessary capacity. For you, Hochul, high school science dropouts who are Kathy’s advisors, I’ll do the math…that’s 35-45% BELOW what the grid should be…100%! Mathematicians on the left have made it difficult to determine what the power plant fuel capacities as a percent of total capacity… to hide how poor the grid actually is! They CLAIM wind /solar are providing some 30% …when? Those totally unreliable power sources MAYBE provide 5% on a good day…ask anybody in Texas who relies on wind or solar. Wind /solar, in my opinion, will NEVER provide a RELIABLE power source because the physics won’t allow it. When power is needed the most…wind and solar are at their worst. The windmills cannot physically take the storm wind loads and MUST be feathered… stopped! Solar unreliability is/are self-explanatory…when there are storms, there’s NO SUN! My education is Bachelor of Science in Engineering, minor in Organic Chemistry with every environmental class the EPA provided to the FBI Agents, with science backgrounds, who were directed to establish, create and direct, environmental crimes programs across the US and coordinate EVERYTHING necessary to create the Environmental Crimes program. I was assigned the WDNY…all 17 counties! We did it successfully and acquired the first convictions …closed several illegal operations, executed a Cont. on pg 9 POWER AMERICAN TO PROSPERITY

Page 9 The Sun Bay Paper May 5, 2025 Cont. from pg 8 search warrant on a DOD nuclear waste disposal site and we cleared them of anything criminal. I was praying we would clear the contractors as the other would have been catastrophic!! That assignment lasted about three years. It did not make me an environmental expert. However, it did convince me that there is not much man can do to have any effect on the climate! Let’s say it made me believe that there is nothing man can do to impact the weather… God, the sun and planets dictate everything Earth! Nobody …and I mean, there is nobody on Earth who can determine if over the past 4-5 billion years Earth has done anything except cool! Earth cooled from “Thousands of degrees” to today’s temperatures… from THOUSANDS of degrees Fahrenheit. AND… scientists do not agree on some basics. For example…what impact CO2 has on the planet, what causes excess carbon to precipitate out and fall into the oceans, what causes storms, is the earth still cooling as many NASA studies seem to show…I say “The Sun, God, other planets” are the cause of everything good or bad! We must understand there is no global warming that is a danger to us. Whoever is giving the “scientific” expertise to Kathy…is full of crap. Sorry…no other way to get through to all these hard head, high school science dropouts telling us what to do! You’ll notice that Al Gore stopped shooting off his uneducated mouth. In my opinion, I’ll bet he can’t even spell science! Trees need 2000ppm of CO2 to be healthy and keep the air we breathe clean. CO2 is about 400/450 ppm…that’s NOT enough. Plant life will die at 200ppm! I learned that from Dr. Patrick Moore, one of the creators of Greenpeace. Google him … you’ll find him interesting about how phony Greenpeace is …seems their “sailboat” is powered by Detroit Diesel Power, and they NEVER use the sails! The Government will LOAN the state the funds that they will pay back with interest. When the project is completed, the states will sell the plant to a Utility by a fair auction to a buyer that the government must approve. The current grid will update their plants utilizing the same processes. The work must include EMP protection at all levels possible. This would get everybody back to work at good paying jobs and make everybody employed and busy. Congress must pass laws to protect these projects to prevent another ignorant, moronic president to do another brain-dead act, like stopping walls that protected us and opening borders to those that murdered and raped us! Joe Biden and Hussein will hopefully be charged with the crimes they committed, starting with treason and ending with the electric chair! J. May 5, 2025 The Sun Bay Paper Page 10 The GPO Repeal Backlash Has Begun I predicted this was going to happen. The public outcry over the repeal of the Government Pension Offset law has begun. I am hearing from more and more people (mostly women) who want to know why retired teachers, firefighters, police officers and other public employees are getting Social Security spousal and survivor benefits that they can’t get. Here is a typical recent email. Q: My sister and I are both retired teachers. I taught in a private school in Colorado, where I paid into Social Security. My sister taught in Dallas, where she paid into the Texas Teachers Retirement program and not Social Security. So I get a Social Security retirement benefit and she gets a Texas teacher’s pension. Surprisingly, they are both about the same amount. We each get about $3,000 per month. We’re also both widows. Until recently, neither of us could get widows benefits because our own retirement pensions prevented us from getting anything from our husband’s Social Security. But apparently a new law was recently passed called the Social Security Fairness Act that allows my sister to get full Social Security widows benefits. However, I still can’t. How in the world is that fair? A: It’s not fair. I’ve been preaching that the misnamed Social Security Fairness Act is a bad law. And as a result, I’ve been receiving angry and even hateful emails from retired public employees around the country. I want them to listen to your story. (In today’s column, I will be dealing only with the repeal of the Government Pension Offset, not the repeal of the related Windfall Elimination Provision.) First, here is some background to help you understand what GPO was all about. Throughout the history of Social Security, the law has always said that a Social Security retirement benefit offsets any spousal or widows benefits a person might be due. Here are a couple quick examples. Mary is getting $3,000 in her own Social Security retirement benefit. Her deceased husband Frank was getting $2,800. Mary can’t get widows benefits because her own Social Security benefit is higher than her potential widows benefit. Or we could change that example a bit and say that Frank was getting a $4,200 retirement benefit before he died. In this scenario, Mary will keep getting her own $3,000 Social Security check, but she will get an extra $1,200 in widows benefits to take her up to Frank’s $4,200 level. Again, that Social Security benefit offset has been in place ever since the beginning of the program in the 1930s. But by the mid-1970s, Congress noted a glitch in that law. The retirement benefits paid to public employees who worked at jobs that were not covered by Social Security but who had spouses who did work and pay into Social Security, were not subject to any offset. In other words, in our example above, if Mary was a retired teacher in Texas who was getting $3,000 in a Texas teacher’s retirement pension, she would have been able to get that pension AND have received full Social Security widows benefits on Frank’s record. (Either $2,800 monthly in the first example or $4,200 in the second.) There would have been no offset. Congress correctly said that was unfair. So in the 1970s, they passed the Government Pension Offset law that essentially said that a public employee retirement pension would offset any spousal benefits due just as Social Security retirement pensions had always done. You would think that everyone would recognize the fairness of that. But that is not what happened. Public employees went into a rage thinking that they were being cheated out of spousal and widows benefits from Social Security that everyone else could get. They totally misunderstood the point that Social Security retirement benefits had always offset and spousal or widows benefits due. The GPO law was simply treating their public retirement pensions in the same way that Social Security retirement pensions had always been treated. Anyway, public employee unions and advocacy groups spent the next 40 years lobbying Congress to repeal the GPO law. Bills to repeal GPO were introduced in every Congress. And every year, those bills were defeated. Why? Because the GPO law made sense -- it made sure that all working Americans were treated fairly. But then we got into the politically wacky 21st century where there seemed to be constant partisan battles in Congress over budgets and continuing resolutions and government shutdowns and all other forms of fiscal chicanery. Amid all that mess, it became easier for GPO repeal advocates to get their bills into the hopper of an otherwise distracted Congress. And each year, they seemed to get closer and closer to having their way. Finally, in December 2024, literally almost at the last minute of the last day of Congress, they tacked on the totally misnamed “Social Security Fairness Act” into a mix of other bills, and it became law. So now we are right back where we were 40 years ago. Public employees can get spousal and widows benefits that no one else can get. But back to the teacher who sent the email I quoted at the beginning of the column. With the repeal of GPO, her sister, the teacher from Texas, will now be able to get her teacher’s retirement pension AND full widows benefits from Social Security. But the letter writer, the private school teacher from Colorado, will never be able to get widows benefits. If anybody thinks that is fair, then please explain it to me. Here is one more even weirder and less fair part of the Social Security Fairness Act. As I mentioned many times in this column, as an old federal retiree, I collect a civil service retirement pension -- not Social Security. (Feds hired since 1984 do pay into Social Security and will retire with Social Security benefits.) Even though I get a comfortable civil service pension, with the repeal of the GPO, I am now able to collect a dependent husband’s benefit on my wife’s Social Security account. Anybody with a Social Security retirement pension the same size as my civil service benefit would never be able to do that. So why can I? And for that matter, why can millions of retired teachers, firefighters and police officers do the same? No one has ever been able to give me a good answer to these questions either. Tom Margenau If you have a Social Security question, Tom Margenau has two books with all the answers. One is called “Social Security -- Simple and Smart: 10 Easy-to-Understand Fact Sheets That Will Answer All Your Questions About Social Security.” The other is “Social Security: 100 Myths and 100 Facts.” You can find the books at Amazon.com or other book outlets. Page 11 The Sun Bay Paper May 5, 2025 Vinyl Tile Floors Are Durable, Attractive Dear James: I need to replace the floor in our children’s playroom. I want something durable and spill-resistant. Would a vinyl tile floor be a good choice? -- Drew B. Dear Drew: Commercial-quality vinyl tile floor tiles would be an excellent choice for your rec room. It’s often used in grocery stores and should handle active children’s abuse. Also, it is not difficult to install yourself, so you can save the labor costs. Within the past five or 10 years, many attractive vinyl floor tiles have become more popular for residential use. Vinyl tiles are not damaged by water or other spills, so they are often used in laundry rooms, basements or any area where extreme durability and moisture resistance are required. The array of attractive colors and patterns of vinyl tiles is nearly endless. The newest ones, simulated hardwood planks, are not even the standard 12-by-12inch tiles. They are actually long, narrow planks, usually 3 inches wide, just like real hardwood flooring. With the realistic grain patterns, once installed, they are difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Another attractive vinyl tile option is simulated marble in rich, brilliant colors such as white, green, rose, almond, black and more. Simulated natural stone, also in many colors, is available. To get really fancy, select tiles that create an inlaid wood look with a border. It includes all the special pieces of tile that are needed. You should be able to install the vinyl tile yourself. It is available in commercial-quality grade, usually about 1/8-inch thick or in thinner grades with self-adhesive backing. The commercial grade is probably your best choice. The tile manufacturers also supply the floor adhesive to use with it. It is a good idea to use the adhesive from the specific tile manufacturer to be certain it is compatible with the tile material. If you have any problems finding commercial-quality vinyl tile, contact the following companies for names of local sources: Amtico International, Armstrong, Congoleum, Forbo Linoleum or Tarkett. It is important to start with a smooth floor when installing vinyl tile. Even small bumps or particles on the floor will eventually show through to the vinyl tile surface. To find all of these spots, lay a trouble light on the floor. The light shining across the floor will reveal any high spots. Sand or scrape them off and then thoroughly clean the floor. Most rooms are not perfectly square, so you must decide how to line up the tiles. For the best possible appearance, consider from where the floor will be viewed most often, usually at a doorway. That sight line will be the best spot to make it even and in line with a wall. The edges of vinyl tile are machined very crisp and true at the factory, so, when properly installed, the joints will be almost invisible. You will have to cut some of the tiles yourself. A sharp knife will work, but it is probably best to rent a mechanical tile cutter at a tool rental shop. Most manufacturers recommend that the vinyl tile is seated down into the adhesive with a heavy floor roller immediately after it is installed. Don’t skip this step. Most tool rental shops will also have a floor roller. The key to keeping your vinyl tile floor beautiful is regular cleaning. Vinyl tile is durable, but sand and abrasive grit will eventually damage its surface. Most manufacturers also offer special cleaners and polishes for their flooring.
