All Along Digital Version November 10, 2023 Volume 9 Issue 4 From Island to Bay, News on the Level On November 1, the Sunrise Rotary Club marked their thirtieth anniversary at a venue where they have left a lasting mark. Nearly fifty current members, past members, friends, and guests met at the new theater at the IMAG History and Science Center that now bears their name. Liz Christie, the club’s president, welcomed the group for a “sunrise” viewing of a new video commemorating the partnership with IMAG and announcing Rotary’s community mission to the theater’s over 100,000 annual visitors. “We are so happy we can provide resources for a community organization with a similar mission,” Christie said. Rotary’s contribution ensured the purchase, installation, and outfitting of the space with a new 3-D projector, allowing IMAG to show a broader range of high-quality educational movies and content to its visitors and guests. IMAG Director Matt Johnson was on hand to celebrate the Rotarians’ achievements and thank them for their contribution to SWFL’s only science and history center. “History helps teach science for all ages,” Johnson said, detailing IMAG’s interactive exhibits, summer camp, and animal and aquatic collections. Rotary delivered $25,000 of the pledge in ‘23 and will follow up again in ’24 and ’25. The charitable funding comes largely from their annual “Drive for Education” golf outing at the Forest Country Club in South Fort Myers. IMAG is just east of downtown Fort Myers at 2000 Cranford Avenue and is open every day but Tuesday. Sunrise Rotary meets every Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower Shops. It is essential to distinguish Veterans Day from Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday in May and is dedicated to commemorating the military members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. The origins of Veterans Day can be traced back to November 11, 1919, when U.S. President Woodrow Wilson initially proclaimed it as Armistice Day. This day was specifically intended to honor the veterans of World War I, as the armistice that marked the war’s end occurred at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. This devastating conflict claimed the lives of over 16 million individuals worldwide, including approximately 117,000 Americans. The holiday was officially established as a national one in 1938. But it wasn’t until 1954, under the leadership of U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower, that the name of the holiday was changed to Veterans Day. This change expanded the holiday’s purpose to pay tribute to all veterans who have served in the U.S. military. Veterans Day is consistently observed on November 11 each year. However, if this date falls on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the holiday is officially observed on the closest Friday or Monday. Federal offices are closed in honor of the occasion, and there is no U.S. mail delivery on this significant day. But in my opinion, we all should take every opportunity to thank a Veteran... Florida has now joined the “growing number” of states distancing themselves from the ALA’s progressive social and political agendas. Florida’s Division of Library and Information Services, a branch of the Florida Department of State, has introduced a new rule stating that it will no longer support grant project activities associated with the American Library Association or its affiliates. The ALA had previously opposed Florida’s efforts to remove sexually explicit literature from schools, and the American Association of School Librarians, a component of the ALA, collaborated with an activist group advocating for the retention of inappropriate materials for children. Meg Kilgannon, Senior Fellow for Education Studies at the Family Research Council, commented, “The significant transformation taking place in educational institutions is not only welcome but long overdue. Congratulations to Florida for taking this step, and I hope other states will also question their association with the ALA, a group that promotes pornography and progressive ideology.” Many concerns regarding the ALA’s history of endorsing offensive materials came to the forefront when Emily Drabinski was elected as its president, who in 2022 tweeted that she’s a “Marxist.” “I just cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world is the president-elect of @ALALibrary,” Drabinski posted on social media after she became president of the group. “I am so excited for what we will do together. Solidarity! And my mom is SO PROUD. I love you mom.” She later deleted the tweet and was shocked at the backlash over it. November 10, 2023 Page 3 The Sun Bay Paper Alleged Absentee Ballot Fraud: VIDEO PROOF Expires 12-15-2023 In a stunning ruling, Connecticut Superior Court Judge William F. Clark has ordered a fresh mayoral election in Bridgeport, the state’s largest city, following accusations of significant fraud involving absentee ballots during the recent mayoral primary. The decision came after what Clark described as an unprecedented volume of evidence, including hundreds of hours of video surveillance. The primary election in September saw challenger John Gomes, the former chief administrative officer of Bridgeport, leading incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim among in-person votes. However, Ganim made a bold prediction that absentee ballots would swing the election in his favor. In the end, Ganim secured victory in the primary by a mere 251 votes after winning the absentee ballots 1,564 to 861. The controversy deepened when Gomes released a video showing what appeared to be a city employee, Wanda Geter-Pataky, allegedly affiliated with Ganim’s campaign, stuffing ballot boxes. The State Elections Enforcement Commission recommended criminal charges for Geter-Pataky and two others connected to Ganim’s campaign, relating to the mishandling of absentee ballots in Bridgeport’s 2019 mayoral primary, just weeks before the 2023 primary. The court’s decision revealed that Geter-Pataky asserted her privilege against self-incrimination 71 times when questioned about her involvement in Ganim’s campaign and handling of absentee ballots. She is currently on leave from her city job pending investigation. Eneida Martinez, a city council candidate running on a slate with Mayor Ganim, similarly invoked her privilege against self-incrimination when asked about her handling of absentee ballots. Connecticut law specifies that only voters themselves or household relatives may personally mail or return absentee ballots. Candidates for office, like Martinez, are expressly prohibited from handling ballots. Judge Clark’s decision meticulously detailed the timeline from the video evidence, which showed Geter-Pataky making ten separate drops in city ballot drop boxes, and Martinez making five. The videos, as noted by Clark, were “shocking to the court and should be shocking to all of the parties involved.” While the results of September’s primary election were overturned, Judge Clark concluded that he lacked the authority to halt the general election scheduled for November 7, where Ganim remains the Democratic nominee. Gomes is running as a third-party candidate and has pledged to withdraw his complaint if he wins. If Ganim secures victory in the general election, a new Democratic primary will be held. Should Gomes emerge victorious in the new Democratic primary, another general election will determine the city’s mayor. This decisive ruling sheds light on the controversial debate surrounding the increase in mailin ballots and the integrity of elections. The Bridgeport case underscores that allegations of absentee ballot fraud can have a significant impact on the outcomes of elections in major American cities. It challenges the narrative that mailin ballots are impervious to fraud, which has been a subject of heated debate in recent years, particularly as the use of absentee ballots has expanded to accommodate various political strategies. In contrast to the previous consensus, some institutions now argue that there is no substantial evidence of increased electoral fraud with mail ballots. The Bridgeport case serves as a dramatic counterpoint to these claims, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and scrutiny to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.

Trump made a sobering observation. “And when you think of it, how important elections are, you’d have millions of people alive right now,” Trump said. “If the election wasn’t rigged, they’d be alive. Ukraine, Israel, The attack would have never been made. All these people would be alive.” Almost immediately, the popular media pounced. “Trump’s claims of a rigged 2020 election have repeatedly been proven false,” they said, almost as a chorus in unison. Never mind that the world is in chaos. Never mind that we are now closer to armed nuclear confl ict – Doomsday - under the Biden Administration than at any time in history. Never mind that Trump is 100% accurate about life and death in Gaza, Kiev, and elsewhere. The mainstream media’s focus was solely on Trump’s 2020 election claims. I was a very successful investigator as an FBI Agent and passed on to other FBI Agents for almost 3 decades these words of wisdom … “too many coincidences make a fact”! That saying… a lot of hard work… helped me solve a lot of cases others couldn’t solve…I didn’t quit! And Donald Trump will never quit on America. Trump is right because too many coincidences make a fact. Joe Biden “won” without campaigning, acquiring more votes than any President in history. He won without winning the States that every winner - whoever won…won. He received more votes than Obama. He did things that are mathematically not possible. In my opinion, there was major Fraud – simultaneously - in the fi nal 6 States that were counted… States that after 80% of the votes were in with President Trump ahead by 500,000 votes, and the next 10% counted all went to Biden…changing the lead to a loss…all without any Republican observers. That is just a coincidence?! Afraid not…that’s more than enough Probable cause to bring indictments to those who ordered the count stopped, and all Republican observers sent home…because of a fake water main break… while the surreptitious count that swung the election went forward, making the man who did no campaigning, President of the United States. A retired US Border Patrol Agent and a friend forwarded this to me…written by an unknown source. I don’t usually publish unverifi ed info, but these are desperate times created by the most unscrupulous team of Democrats that this country has ever seen…you be the Judge… “AT&T got a contract to do a forensic audit on Dominion voting machines, and those machines were being moved to Nashville this past week. The former owner of the AT&T building in Nashville, William Kennard, is a board member for Cerberus Capital Management and AT&T. He also was Bill Clinton’s FCC chair and Obama’s Ambassador to the EU. Dominion Voting is owned by Cerberus Capital Management…. Cerberus is run by Staple Street Execs. Joe Biden’s brother-inlaw, Steven Owens, is the co-founder of Staple Street Execs along with William Kennard (mentioned above). Super Computer in TN was connected to the AT&T internet in NASHVILLE…. yesterday evening (date unknown) the Cumberland river cooling system was compromised due to internet outage and Supercomputer fried…..” If you don’t know, “Kraken” refers to a supercomputer former prosecutor Sidney Powell had been talking about before she was caught up in the sweeping Georgia indictment. So, the explosion “just happened” to be at the AT&T location where they “just so happen” to control the cooling system for the supercomputer and house the dominion voting machines and drives for forensic audit… Does it make sense now why no lives were lost? Does it make sense now why the FBI task lead couldn’t even put together a coherent sentence in the press conference? Does it make sense why the mayor was making light of the situation, almost laughing? Too many coincidences make a fact. I wrote a book about my decades of service…ACTION-FBI CRIME FIGHTING THE WAY IT WAS. And some of those stories are apt. Which means Submit…owing allegiance to Islam, Allah and Mohamed, and not The Constitution, America nor our Free Enterprise Society! For your info changing from Islam to ANY other Faith…is not allowed in Islam and is the single worst thing a Muslim, (believer), can do and is punishable by death! Assume his book of Faith is the Quran which DIRECTS what he and all “believers” must adhere to in principle and belief that Islam is their life, their religion, their Government, their “Call to Prayer”, his words, it’s, “The most beautiful” thing there is”! IN OTHER WORDS…HE IS A TRAITOR TO THE UNITED STATES AND IS PLANNING A COUPE, my opinion and apparently Congressman Tlaib’s opinion as she said we are in for a big surprise in the context that it will not be something good for unbelievers/ infi dels and since she is so dumb… she let the cat out of the bag… and of course…admitted, criminal knowledge of a VERY serious crime, Treason! Also assume the fi rst part of the First Amendment to the Constitution that both Hussein and Joe Biden swore to honor, protect, preserve and defend… states this,” Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”…the rest of the fi rst Amendment…”or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. That means there is a separation of Church and State and anyone who took an oath to protect that right for us, can /will face violation of one or more of the below listed laws directly quoted from US Code, our laws. Islam is an Ideology, it is NOT, in my opinion, IN ANY WAY, A RELIGION. If it’s a religion, it is the only religion in the world that kills, unprovoked… unbelievers FOR BEING UNBELIEVERS…THINK ABOUT IT! That’s why they are killing Jews, Christians , Americans , other Muslims who, apparently aren’t complete ,like the Iraqis they killed ,beheaded and dug ditches for graves. Just like the NAZIs did ,except NAZIs let them keep their heads! All other non-Islam believers…because they are Unbelievers, Infi dels… read the Quran, Translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali… praised by scholars as the best English Translation! The Shuras, through out , call Jews pigs, others infi dels , pagans, kill them all…unless they pay a Jizya tax…(pay to live). Similar to Obiden’s “pay to play” with Ukraine…I wonder… naw, he wouldn’t be getting a piece of that , would he…honest Joe and Hunter too, I mean two!? For no other reason, Islam, ISIS, Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO…if their Book of faith is the Quran… they are killing people, beheading people, children, babies…from the Quran, “Smite their heads and hands and feet, to put fear in the infi dels”… to put fear in their eyes for what we think is NO reason and the way of life and NOT “just” a Religion. How could anybody believe that in Islam it’s okay to call for the death of those who are not Islam believers, AND TO ACTUALLY CARRY OUT THAT BELIEF? Those of you who didn’t believe they are inhuman, killers, sure should know by now, they are! Japan had a great idea when they banned Muslims from entering into their country! Japan even banned them from displaying any evidence of their Islam beliefs by wearing their Muslim garb! Japan has had NO terrorist attacks… up until now…let’s see what their “lightening up” accomplishes… ask Lebanese citizens like Bridgitte Gabriel how it worked out for Lebanon. Ask her how did PLO Arafat thank them! Lately, I have heard, Japan is lightening up…big mistake… just wait and see what they pull on us…it’s coming ,in my opinion and we will suff er. But it could mean open season on Traitors, you know, get them out of offi ce, I mean! In this country, what we call Murder, Islam calls “Honor” killings. Islam is in DIRECT confl ict to our Constitution, our Laws, our way of life. It calls for the death to infi dels, unbelievers, that’s you and me…we separate Church and State. How can Omar, Tliab, Presley and other Muslims, be in the US Congress…read what crimes they are committing below…? We are providing you the laws, which are written pretty much in plain English…easy to understand and pertain to Obama’s intended, “fundamental change of America “by overthrowing America. Laws that we believe both have violated! November 10, 2023 The Sun Bay Paper Page 6 Issues of Sun Bay Paper! Hussein’s gifting to Iran by leaving US Military equipment, munitions, in Iraq, shows what a snake this Muslim is…his way of being surreptitious! If that isn’t Aiding our enemy we might as well delete that law…no President in history has been guiltier of Aiding and Abetting an enemy, like Iran, than Hussein Obama and Joe Obiden…nobody…my humble opinion! At a time when ISIS was killing infi dels, including Americans, Obama allowed ISIS to escape without killing all of them as they escaped from Iraq. Thank God, President Trump had a Magic Wand and eliminated most of ISIS, forcing the few that were left to slither back into that hole in the ground. That is Certain proof that Obama is either a Traitor or complete moron…when he fi rst said ISIS is JV then couldn’t eliminate a JV team which took a real President, Trump, a few weeks to do! So which is it Obama, your either a traitor or a poor liar, or dumb as carp? With Joe, I don’t know where to start. What would the left have done to President Trump if he gave Iran $180,000,000,000 (that’s BILLIONS) in various country’s cash and left $85 billion on the ground in Afghanistan and another 6 million recently? Reports are that the 6 million is to support Hamas…as well as a freaking fully found Bagram Air Force Base, China or Iran. What’s the diff ’, they’re BOTH enemies? China gets the base and Afghanistan’s Lithium. There is NO statute of limitations on Capital Crimes… death penalty cases. Also, all those former Hussein staff members who are now Biden’s staff members, and Congress women are exposed, and are just as liable as their boss, for violating the statutes set forth below…Misprision of a Felony. So remember when the real FBI, knocks on your door, you will have to make a decision…how loyal to Hussein will I be? “Is he worth my life”? Now here’s how I would present this case…I would make it a RICO –Treason, Extortion,- Mail Fraud, Wire Fraud putting all the players who have knowledge of both Obama’s and Biden’s culpability, in that Title. Do you believe for example, Garland is not aware of his failure to enforce the laws?! What if the Coup FAILS? How about the Immigration and Naturalization Laws…Moyorkas doesn’t decide who to prosecute…A G Garland does. Well how many Illegals has he charged… hmmm? Violation of his Oath to protect, preserve, and defend the Constitution and enforce the INS Statutes!?? OR…is allowing illegal entry into the US no longer illegal? 18 U.S. Code § 2 - Principals (a)Whoever commits an off ense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels, commands, induces or procures its commission, is punishable as a principal. (b)Whoever willfully causes an act to be done which if directly performed by him or another would be an off ense against the United States, is punishable as a principal. If Obama is PRESENTLY the man at the top, and everyone knows he is the de facto Boss, then everyone who has taken an oath of offi ce is violating their oath of offi ce and Obama is conspiring with them to do it! HE is criminally liable outside of the Government for the same crimes as the puppets on the inside. So Obama is just as liable for TREASON as Biden, Garland , Mayorkas, et al! When the next 9-11 happens because the terrorists walked across the southern border and there was intentional dereliction of constitutional duty giving aid and comfort to the enemy, look no further than Obama, Biden, Garland and Mayorkas, et al! The fourth federal law, 18 U.S.C. 1918 provides penalties for violation of oath offi ce described in 5 U.S.C. 7311 which include: (1) removal from offi ce and; (2) confi nement or a fi ne. November 10, 2023 Page 7 The Sun Bay Paper The Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) Volleyball Lady Buccaneers successfully took their next steps to defend their 2022 National Championship Title when they used their home court advantage to repeat as the Florida State Championship on November 4, then claimed the District Title the following day. In only the fi fth year of its program’s existence, the 27 & 1 Lady Bucs seek to become back-to-back National Champions! FSW’s quest to repeat as the Florida State Champion began at Suncoast Credit Union Arena (SCUA) on Friday afternoon, November 3, against the nationally-ranked #16 Polk State College Eagles. Even though the Lady Bucs defeated Polk State twice during the Citrus Conference campaign, the pesky Eagles made FSWwork, taking the Bucs to four sets in September, then to the limit in October in a grueling 5-set match, with FSWwinning the climatic 5th set 15 to 13. True to their tight 2023 matches, the squads split the fi rst two sets, with FSW winning 25 to 19 before Polk State evened things in the 2nd by 25 to 21. The 3rd set began just as tight, with the Lady Bucs breaking Polk State’s serve to go up 4 to 3. Immediately after that, Polk State committed two consecutive defensive service infractions, giving FSW a 6 to 3 lead. The Lady Bucs then won the next three serves to increase their lead to 9 to 3 and they never looked back, winning 25 to 15. That dominance continued into the 4th, winning 25 to 13 to take the State semifi nal 3 sets to 1. Awaiting FSW in the State Championship clash was their main rival, the #3-ranked Miami Dade Sharks. Before FSW volleyball came into existence, Miami Dade was the 800-pound gorilla of Junior College Woman’s Volleyball, having won ten National Championships! FSW and Miami Dade not only played each other for the 2022 Florida State Championship, but they both advanced to the 2022 National Championship, with FSW victorious 3 sets to one. Miami Dade dealt the Lady Bucs their only 2023 defeat, besting FSW in SCUA on October 21 in a 5-set thriller, taking the deciding fi fth set 16 to 14. Perhaps with revenge on their minds, the Lady Bucs destroyed Miami Dade in the 1st set 25 to 14. FWS remained red hot to begin the 2nd set, then withstood a furious rally to take set #2 25 to 20. The Sharks would not go quietly, however, taking a 9 to 6 lead in the 3rd set. FSW’s brilliant young coach, Thais Baziquetto-Allen, then made a smart & savvy move by replacing All-American candidate Alondra Alarcon with diminutive Clara Maidantchik and FSW immediately went on a 6 to 0 run to jump out in front 12 to 9. Alarcon then returned to the lineup and FSW steamrolled to a 25 to 15 straight-set victory to repeat as Florida State Champs and advance to Sunday’s District Championship! The Lady Bucs next took on the South Carolina State Champions, the Spartanburg Methodist Pioneers, for the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Atlantic District Championship. Like the previous day against Miami Dade, FSW jumped out quick and never looked back, dominating a straight sets victory 25 to 15, 25 to 10 and 25 to 15! The much-smaller Pioneers had no answer to FSW’s intimidating 6’4” Middle Blocker Izzy Collier who had 8 Kills and 7 Blocks in limited playing time, as Coach Thais played all 13 of her healthy players. Lifesavers & Kansas! Following the Lady Bucs victory, Miami Dade returned to the SCUA court to take on Monroe College, the New York State Champions, for the 2nd Atlantic District National Championship automatic bid in Hutchinson, Kansas, and in the 4th set, a life-&- death drama ensued. With Miami Dade leading 2 sets to 1 and the score tied at 15 to 15, a Monroe player dove to the court. It seemed as though the dive knocked the wind from her, then she quickly dissolved into a cardiac arrest. Due to the incredible response of the FSW, Miami Dade and Monroe training staff s, they quickly resuscitated her, with emergency responders arriving in under ten minutes! She recovered in the hospital so well that the two teams resumed their match on Monday, with Miami Dade winning to join FSW for the National Championship in Hutchinson, meaning a fourth FSW / Miami Dade matchup is a distinct possibility. Prior to the Championships, the Citrus Conference named fi ve Lady Bucs to its All-Conference Teams, placing Alarcon, Collier, All-American candidate Roberta Purashaj, and Victoria Zibecchi on the 1st Team and Nina Boledovicova on the 2nd. Purashaj, FSW’s career assists leader, is the Citrus Conference Player of the Year, fi nishing second in the State and fourth nationally with 10.81 assists per set while quarterbacking the Lady Bucs to the nation’s top hitting percentage of .318. After the Championships, Region 8 named Alarcon, Boledovicova and Zibecchi to the All-Tournament Team with Purashaj MVP. Baziquetto-Allen received the Citrus Conference Coach of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive season! The smooth and stylish Coach Thais, who began the FSW volleyball program in 2019, is a Junior College volleyball coaching superstar, with an incredible career mark of 115 & 24 for an unreal .824-win percentage! Her 14-player squad features 12 overseas competitors, with four from Italy, three hailing from Brazil, and the remainder from Argentina, Peru, Portugal, Serbia and Slovakia, with two Floridians. The Lady Bucs travel to Hutchinson to defend their 2022 National Championship from November 15 through 18. After being ranked #1 in the nation every week during the 2023 campaign, FSW will almost certainly enter the tournament as the #1 seed. The Lady Bucs tied their all-time wins record by going 27 & 1, after posting their fourth straight Citrus Conference Championship with a 13 & 1 record. To speak to an Ad Specialist call: 239-267-4000 or email us at: produc t i on@sunbaypaper. com I did it all. They asked me, “How do you do it…do you have a crystal ball?” It’s through hard work and smarts. And a little luck never hurts. That’s how it was with my fi rst IO (FBI’s Most Wanted) arrest. In my fi rst offi ce, Charleston, SC, as a rookie, I helped a Marine deserter who I arrested. He was the only marine I arrested in over 200 deserter cases. Marines didn’t desert! I and two other Agents, Dennis, and Jim, worked together, arrested them over 14 months, and this one was assigned to me. This young man was shot 4 times with an AK47 by a North Vietnam regular…4 entrance wounds in the front and 4 exit wounds in the back but no vitals, just a lot of blood loss. He charged the enemy after being hit, killing the female who shot him and two others before collapsing. While recovering back in the States, he needed to go home for a family emergency, and his Sergeant said no, as he had less than 2 weeks to go…so he left. I spoke to the right Offi cer, asking him to look into it, and he did…getting his record cleared, all his metals, and an Honorable discharge. The marine called me to pay me back. He gave me a name, an alias, and a robbery in the Bronx in October 1968. That tracked down to an IO fugitive who were the fugitives pictured in Post Offi ces and where the FBI’s Top 10 fugitives came from. These are dangerous and desperate men. Only experienced and strong Agents work…rookies are not allowed…As a result, I sent the info and IO number to NYO (New York Offi ce), and my subject was ID’d…as the shooter of an NYPD Uniform Offi cer who responded to the robbery that this IO fugitive pulled. The Offi cer died as a result of the gunfi ght. The Boss told me I could keep the case, and we took the bad guy into custody after a brief fi ght. Soon thereafter, I arrested a Bank Robber 1 ½ hours after he robbed a bank in Myrtle Beach, SC, still armed with a shotgun and all the bank loot. Then another Agent, Ray Gilbart, and I received leads on a kidnapping in Brooklyn, NY. Tondalaya Jones,a 5-year-old, was actually sold to a couple near Charleston. Working through the night, we located a house of interest, and I found her at 3 am. Upon fi nding her, she jumped into my arms and said repeatedly, “Please don’t let me go”… over and over. The most “rewarding” thing in my ACTION full career. Actually, while back at the offi ce the phones started ringing off the hook as the word spread that we rescued Tondalaya Jones…the Top National News story, and I answered the fi rst caller, who turned out to be Walter Cronkite! I received a transfer to the New York Offi ce and was rewarded… for my fi rst offi ce eff orts… by going to the NYO Boss, John Malone’s squad, the John Gotti Crew Truck Hijack Squad…that’s where the action started. On that squad, 4 days and out on a case, for the very fi rst time, we hit a Gotti drop. It was a 3 story house in the Bronx. While in the front with a senior Agent, John, a truck pulled up and stopped. I told John I drove those trucks, and this was very suspicious. He said why? I responded it’s a 26-foot Ryder overloaded…look at the springs…and I don’t like the look on the driver’s face, and it has no business on this residential street. Get help. I’m going to stop him. When I tried, he almost ran me down, and off we went. I still had the keys and gave chase, stopping him a few blocks away and exchanging shots as he escaped. Another Agent stopped me from chasing, telling me it was too dangerous to chase. I said, “You’re telling me?” He asked who shot “him then me.” You will see more action than you want! Don’t talk too much about the shooting. On that truck was swag (stolen property) from 3 separate hijackings, valued at several hundreds of thousands, and I will get the recovery for Stats. That was my fi rst 14 months as an Agent: IO Fugitive, Solved Armed Robbery, Solved Police Killing, arrested Armed Bank Robber and Kidnap Victim Rescue. That’s how most of my career went...there’s much more in the book. But the point of this retired agent’s “war stories” is this: results aren’t magical. In the same way that too many coincidences make a fact, continued work – hard and smart - produces results. And that brings me to my point about President Trump. He said something else in Florida. Something much more disturbing than a rigged election, and his statements rang just as true. “I make you this promise as your president and nobody else can say it: I will restore peace through strength,” Trump said. “And yes, I am the only one that will prevent World War 3 — because we are very close to World War 3.” We have many candidates this year, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who deserves recognition. He is a leader and a risk manager. His unprecedented decision to declare a State of Emergency fi ve days before Hurricane Ian hit last year saved countless lives and billions in property damage and devastation. We should all appreciate Ron. Hopefully, he will remain one of our leaders for many years to come. Politicians like Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, playing the “long game,” see it and have supported DeSantis. But this time, the stakes are too high to play the long game. We have enemies, foreign and domestic, that have crept into the voids left by weakness. We have Communist China, Kleptocrat Russia, and Islamo-fascist Iran looking for ways to destabilize the globe, American interests, and the U.S. dollar. We have an open border where God knows how many criminals, terrorists, and enemies of America have crossed to commit crimes and set up operations. We have George Soros-back politicians and prosecutors who ignore the rule of law and frustrate the work of professional law enforcement. The point is that two things create results: hard and smart. President Trump is both. And he’s the only one, by a long shot. While there are many candidates this year, there is only one choice. Donald J. Trump. His election would create a response from the Beijing-Moscow-Tehran Axis that would make the release of the Iranian hostages upon Reagan’s inauguration look like children getting spooked at a Halloween fright night. The world knows there are consequences for defying America with Trump at the helm. Deadly consequences. The Florida Freedom Conference showed what rank and fi le voters - Floridian and American – all know. We appreciate Ron DeSantis. But we love Donald Trump because we love America. This was the popular consensus this weekend in Kissimmee, and it is the position of Sun Bay Paper. J Gary Dilaura, FBI RET and Richard Luthmann Editorial Cont from pg 4
November 10, 2023 Page 9 The Sun Bay Paper This Fall, Don’t Fall In 2021, according to the latest data from the CDC, 100 older adults (age 65-plus) died from falls every day. Nonfatal falls were higher among women than among men, but fall-related death rates were higher among men than among women. Fall rates have steadily risen in recent years. Falling is not an inevitable part of aging. It can be prevented by addressing risk factors and following some preventive strategies, such as: *Stay physically active. *Try balance and strength training exercises. *Fall-proof your home, e.g., hand rails on both sides of stairs, good lighting, reduced fl oor clutter and no-slip carpeting and rugs. *Have your eyes and hearing checked regularly. *Find out about side eff ects of any medicines taken. *Get enough sleep. *Avoid or limit alcohol. *Stand up slowly. *Use an assistive device such as a cane or walker, if needed. Or lean on a friend. Puke and Pay Some restaurants in San Francisco popular for their brunches and endless mimosas have begun charging patrons who overindulge and vomit on the premises. Call it an upchuck upcharge. Restaurateur Steven Choi told the San Francisco Chronicle that the problem came up during the pandemic. “It became a very sensitive issue for customers and staff having to clean,” he said. The $50 gag order, posted in bathrooms as an automatic fee when applicable, seems to be working, which is good spews. Body of Knowledge In anatomy, the term “fossa” (Latin for ditch or trench) refers to a depression or hollow, usually in bone, but sometimes tissues or organs, such as the fossa ovalis -- a depression in the right atrium of the heart. Entirely unrelated, fossa are also a slender, long-tailed, catlike mammal endemic to Madagascar. The animal looks a little like a small cougar. And depressingly for lemurs, fossa are their most feared predator. Doc Talk Malpighian pyramids -- Named after a 17th-century anatomist, these are cone-shaped tissues of the kidney. They help with blood fi ltration and water concentration within the organ. Phobia of the Week Apeirophobia -- fear of infi nity. (which is why we’ve stuck a meaningless period at the end) Food for Thought However you eat them, Oreo cookies are tasty. They’re reportedly the best-selling cookie in the world, sold in more than 100 countries. There is much debate about whether the outer cookie or the inner fi lling is best. It’s a matter of taste. What isn’t up for debate is what exactly is in the inner fi lling, because that’s a trade secret. One thing is for sure: There is no cream in the creme fi lling. But you can deduce some ingredients from the packaging: sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, soy lecithin, artifi cial fl avor and palm and/or canola oil. These ingredients are also common in commercial white frostings. FYI: ADouble-Stuf Oreo does not contain twice as much creme, but rather 1.86 times what’s in a standard cookie. Best Medicine First guy: I asked my new girlfriend to meet me at the gym. Second guy: So? First guy: She never showed up. I guess we aren’t going to work out. Observation “Adoctor is a man licensed to make grave mistakes.” -- American writer Leonard Louis Levinson (1904-1974) Medical History This week in 1876, a patent for the fi rst U.S. cigarette manufacturing machine was issued to Albert Hook of NewYork City (No. 184,207). The Hook machine was invented in 1872 but did not come into practical commercial use until 1882. It produced a continuous cigarette of indefi nite length, to be cut into individual cigarettes. Tobacco was fed onto a ribbon of paper. The paper passed over a gummed wheel as it was drawn off its spool. According to revenue collection fi gures, the number of cigarettes manufactured in 1875 was only 50 million -- or about the number smoked in your average 1940s fi lm noir movie. They use specialized jargon, complex words and opaque phrases such as “nonlinear dynamics.” Sometimes they don’t, and yet they’re still hard to fi gure out.
