The City of Fort Myers is proud to unveil its newly updated Community Development Activity Map, now live on the CFM GIS Open Data Hub. This powerful digital resource gives residents, developers, and stakeholders an interactive way to explore the city’s evolving landscape—offering real-time insights into current and future development projects.

Optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, the map provides an intuitive experience, allowing users to track developments across commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use spaces. Key features include:

Recently Completed Projects – such as Bay Street Yard, a vibrant new addition to downtown

Projects Under Construction – including Lee Health’s state-of-the-art hospital complex on Jones-Walker Boulevard (formerly Challenger Boulevard)

Projects in Permitting Review – like a proposed warehouse and distribution center along State Road 82, east of Forum Boulevard

Planning and Zoning Activity – such as an amendment to the Legacy Harbour Planned Unit Development (PUD) near Centennial Park

Beyond pinpointing project locations, the map provides in-depth details, including square footage, building height, and status through each phase—permitting, planning, and construction.
